The check that always works

Open your phone's dialler and type *#06#. If an EID number appears alongside the IMEI, your device supports eSIM. You can also look under Settings → General → About on iPhone, or Settings → About phone on Android.

Before you buy

  • Region matters more than the model name. The same phone can ship with or without eSIM depending on where it was sold. iPhones bought in mainland China have no eSIM, and some US carrier versions of the Galaxy S20 and S21 left it out.
  • Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. A handset still locked to a network will refuse to install another operator's eSIM.
  • Newer than this list? Practically every flagship released since 2019 supports eSIM. If your model is newer than anything here, it almost certainly works.
  • Still unsure? Ask our support team before you buy — we would rather answer a question than process a refund.
